Pilot Research Studies
Purpose
The purpose of the EARDA pilot research projects is to help faculty begin to develop a line of research that can lead to applications for external funding of research. These pilot projects must have a biomedical and/or behavioral component, and in some way be related to health. This is a faculty driven research project, but it is imperative that students be a part of the research team.
A total of $40,000 per year, with the last award given in 2010 for the 2010-2011 Academic Year, has been made available for CSUSB faculty to apply for funds to conduct pilot research projects. Allowable costs include, but are not limited to, PI salary, wages for research assistants, supplies and materials, and travel within the scope of the proposed research project. For more information on allowable costs see the NIH Grants Policy Statement.
